We left Taos and headed west again. We went through the San Rafael Swell and took a mountain road from there to Capitol Reef National Park. We drove down the 10 mile scenic drive and into one of the slot canyons.

Here is one of the walls, freshly washed by the rains.



From there we drove through Escalante National Monument to Bryce Canyon National Park, but it was dark when we got there, so we ate dinner and planned the next day.
