We finally got to film something!

We woke up before sunrise and went to White Sands National Monument. We were able to get a few good shots, but the first few shots were too blurry because I had the camera set to manual focus instead of automatic focus.

The dunes are made of fine gypsum sand and is much softer than normal sand.

As we were leaving White Sands, the heater stopped working and the engine temperature started to rise fast, so I stopped and checked it out. The water pump was broken and it took 4 extra hours in Alamogordo to fix it.

We headed east though the Sacramento Mountains on the way to Carlsbad, NM.
